We offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation to review the student's current educational plan. Following this initial consultation, a follow-up will take place where recommendations and appropriate services will be suggested.
We are available on an hourly basis to support families in the development of a meaningful vision for their child's educational journey. We assist families in creating a road map towards success for their child, which includes reviewing IEPs or 504s and providing necessary support. We want these documents to be a living plan of success for every child! Putting a purposeful plan in place for each unique and individual learner is imperative!
We're here to help you every step of the way.
A family may determine that they need support throughout the entirety of the IEP or 504 process. Our full service model includes 6 hours of service that a family may use at any point throughout a single calendar year. Collaboratively, we would use this time to review any educational documents pertaining to your child (including, but not limited to, data, your vision statement or parent input, IEP or 504 drafts, assessments, present levels, etc.). This time may be used in preparation for an upcoming IEP or 504 meeting, for us to attend a meeting with you, complete an in-class observation, for follow-up support, or in any other way that may support your child's educational journey. Furthermore, this service includes a custom "All About Me" form which highlights your vision statement and speaks to who your child truly is as a person, making your child much more than just another student. We believe that a meaningful vision statement makes a child's educational journey a work of heart for all those involved.
Pay by the hour for our services. *Please note there is a 3% convenience fee when you pay on line.

Our previous book club took place in October. New and upcoming book club dates will be announced soon.
As we head back to school, we are excited about the opportunity to learn and grow in the new school year. For years Dr. Paula Kluth has written about inclusive practices. This Fall, we are learning from her work by reading "Don't We Already Do Inclusion? 100 Ideas for Improving Inclusive Schools." Some have said that her work is "lively, and practical" and engages all - teachers, staff, principals, district and community members. What better a way than coming to the table to discuss how her work might impact our new school year. We will host four Facebook live sessions to discuss portions of her work and how it applies to our schools. Other discussions will occur throughout the week in a secure Facebook Group. Engage with other educators and learn how inclusive practices advance the education of children in various schools throughout the world.
How will this group work?
We will host 4 live discussions in a private Facebook forum.
Between the "live" sessions, the group will have a discussion about application of the practices

What if I cannot attend the live sessions?

Neither Lauren Ochalek nor Beth Nolan are attorneys or legal experts. Education Team Allies does not, under any circumstances, offer legal advice. Furthermore, Education Team Allies does not educate on how to file state complaints or due process. A working relationship with Education Team Allies will focus solely on strategies to support families through the IEP (or 504) process who are NOT in critical situations. We serve families across the state of Maryland as well as other areas of the country where our services are needed.
Working with Education Team Allies is specifically designed to support families who need to learn how to become an equal member of their child's educational team through positive interactions, creating appropriate paper trails, and knowing what questions to ask to get the results their child needs. Our focus is on collaborative efforts to help students achieve.
